Femoral osteochondral lesion resulting from meniscus arrow repair☆☆

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Hanover, New Hampshire, U.S.A.

Abstract

Summary: A 16-year-old girl who had a previously repaired medial meniscus with the biodegradable Meniscus Arrow (Bionx, Blue Bell, PA) developed a postoperative osteochondral lesion as a result of the prominence of the Arrow heads. Despite their ease of use, it brings into question possible risks associated with this procedure and the possible need for further design modification.
