The “Coiling-Up Procedure”: A Novel Technique for Extra-Articular Arthroscopy

Coiling-up procedure: coil application. After routine diagnostic arthroscopy, the subcutaneous space is developed widely. Through the SL portal, the coil end is inserted into the subcutaneous space and rolled up until the end of the coil buries under the skin. The working space is then established. |

Coiling-up procedure: AL portal view. This is a right knee. In this video the patient's head is to the left of the screen and the foot is to the right. The arthroscope is in the AL viewing portal. A dry arthroscopy is performed in the subcutaneous working space created by the coil. |
