On the Cover: This is a view of left hip iliopsoas tendinitis, as viewed from the anterolateral portal. The labrum is in front of the iliopsoas, at the top right portion of the image. The rounded femoral head is visible at the bottom. The right hand portion of the picture is medial, and a black flexible probe is sweeping the capsule laterally (to the left), exposing the entirety of the iliopsoas tendon. The tendon is abnormally thickened, and there are erythematous striations running longitudinally along the tendon, which is abnormal for a noninflamed tendon. This arthroscopic image was taken before iliopsoas release. Courtesy of Derek Ochiai, M.D.
