Daniel Jordan Solomon, M.D., Associate Editor

      I am pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Jordan Solomon, M.D., as Associate Editor of Arthroscopy. Dan is the chief operating officer and an orthopaedic surgeon at California Orthopedics and Spine in Larkspur, California, specializing in shoulder, knee, and sports medicine surgery.
      Dan earned his bachelor's degree in physiology at the University of California, Berkeley. He then received his doctor of medicine at the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. He did both his surgery internship and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. He completed his training as a fellow in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
      As the author of many publications and presentations, his work is well represented in the literature. Dan is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopedic Association, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others. He has also served on numerous professional boards. He began reviewing for Arthroscopy in 2004 and joined the Editorial Board in 2009. He has also served as a reviewer for several other prominent journals.
      Dan is the father of 2 teenage girls, who keep him busy with swim meets and backyard projects. He enjoys going on long trail runs and volunteering as a team physician with the USA Swimming National Team.
